About Me

 Bhuwana - The Wandering Soul

I’m someone who finds it difficult to sit still for too long.

Give me a road disappearing into the mountains, a trail I’ve never walked, a fort waiting to be climbed, or a waterfall hidden somewhere in the middle of nowhere—and I’m already wondering, “So… when are we leaving?”

I love to travel, trek, hike, explore, read, experiment in the kitchen, and lose myself in good old music. Kishore Kumar, Bryan Adams, Scorpions… and many more—the playlist is far too long! ;-)

I believe life is meant to be lived, not merely planned.

Some of the best experiences happen when we step outside our comfort zones, take a detour, say yes to something new, and occasionally ask ourselves, “What on earth am I doing here?”

Every day comes with its own ups, downs, surprises and adventures.

Accept them. Take the challenge. Laugh. Learn. Keep moving.

Here you'll find stories from the roads I've travelled, trails I've chased, adventures I've stumbled into, and moments that made me feel wonderfully alive.

Because I refuse to let my passion for life die. Otherwise, what's left? Just a **Dead Man Walking.**

How Tales of Wandering Soul started

The blog began as a way of recording journeys that otherwise would have remained just memories—or stories scribbled in my notepads.

I travel, take photographs, experience places, and somehow, my journey never really ends once I return home. I believe my journeys stay with me through the stories I tell, write, or simply talk about.

But my notepads belonged only to me. I wanted to share these experiences, and that's how Tales of Wandering Soul became a place to put those stories down.

This blog was never meant to be a travel guide or a catalogue of destinations. It was more like a travel diary—my experiences, observations, little discoveries, mishaps, photographs, and the feeling of being somewhere new.

And that's still what the blog is.

The travel bug bit me when I was a school student.

One school trip, and I was armed with a diary and pen, ready to learn and capture as much as I could. And when that trip article got published in my school journal, my happiness knew no bounds. The rest, as they say, is history.

Post that, each trip was catalogued in my notepad with pictures. Well, those were the days of Kodak moments!

Those school and college trips slowly turned into trekking and hiking trips. Some started as weekend trips and gradually moved on to week-long adventures. My work trips also gave me the opportunity to discover new places, cultures and histories.

Slowly, I became more adventurous and decided to take a peek at the world's highest mountains—the Himalayas.

It started as just one trip. Then another. And somewhere along the way, it became an addiction.

The mountains always made me acknowledge that however strong a person may think they are, nature has far more power over us.

From notepad to digital media, the form of writing changed. But somewhere down the line, life happened. Travelling continued, but documenting didn't.

It took ten years to come back to what I love to do.

Finally, the wandering soul is back!!

There are still many of my travel stories and photographs waiting to be added here. So, as I slowly bring them back, you will find a collection of personal experiences from someone who loves to enjoy each moment as it comes, challenge herself, and learn from every experience.
